Top Fullback Prospects in 2008 NFL Draft
Although fullbacks don’t make a lot of noise in fantasy football, modern day football backs are touching the ball more and more. The 2008 NFL Draft has three really solid fullback prospects that should be picked relatively high in the draft.
Jacob Hester, LSU
No, he’s not related to Devin Hester. But Jacob Hester will make a name for himself on the NFL level. He’s fast for a fullback and will be able to step in and play right away. He has been a vital part of the LSU team over the last couple seasons.
Owen Schmitt, West Virginia
Owen Schmitt is probably the most well rounded fullback prospect in the draft. He can do a bit of everything. And while he should see a good amount of carries in the NFL, don’t expect him to get as many carries as he got in West Virginia.
Peyton Hillis, Arkansas
If you are an NFL team looking for a strong fullback to add to your mix, Peyton Hillis is the man you want in the 2008 NFL draft. He has an extremely strong body and he’ll be ready for the bruising on the next level. Hillis could also become a goal line option in the NFL.
