Rashard Mendenhall- 2008 NFL Draft Prospect
Rashard Mendenhall Stats
In the 2007 season, Rashard Mendenhall rushed for 1,681 yards for the University of Illinois. His 6.4 yards per carry is a very impressive stat for the 5-foot-11, 224 pound running back from Skokie, IL. Mendenhall announced he will forego his senior season ot enter the NFL draft.
Rashard Mendenhall Analysis
Outside of Darren McFadden, there is no hotter running back name in the 2008 NFL Draft than Rashard Mendenhall. If he does well at the combines and workouts, he could solidify himself as the second best running back prospect in the draft. Powerfully built with good speed, Mendenhall is a north-south running who can be an every down back.
Rashard Mendenhall Fantasy Projections
Although Rashard Mendenhall isn’t exceptionally well-known, there’s a good chance he could be starting for an NFL team next season. If a team uses a first round draft pick on him, they’ll likely want him to carry the load as soon as possible. Since he’s so strong and has such a low center of gravity, he’s built to accumulate a lot of touchdowns. A player who is built to score touchdowns is the type of player you want on your fantasy football team.
