Randy Moss Free Agent News

by Kori Ellis on February 29th, 2008

On Friday, Randy Moss officially becomes a free agent. While the New England Patriots keep insisting that they will do everything in their powers to bring Moss back for the 2008 NFL season, it’s not a slam dunk proposition. Many teams will be going after Moss, with a couple of them willing to give Moss a huge offer.

If Moss doesn’t re-sign with the Patriots, whoever he goes to will be happy to have Moss on their side. Moss had one of the best seasons in the history of the NFL in 2007. While the Patriots didn’t complete their undefeated season, it wasn’t Moss’ fault.

In fantasy football in 2008, Moss would be a first round pick if he were to re-sign with the Patriots. If he doesn’t re-sign with the Patriots, he’s more than likely a second or third rounder – depending on where he ends up.

There have been some rumors of Moss signing with the Dallas Cowboys but those rumors do not seem to have much merit. Another discussed destination has been the Minnesota Vikings, the team Moss began his career with.
