Pacman Jones Meets Roger Goodell - Fantasy Impact
Pacman Jones recently met with Roger Goodell to discuss the possibility of Jones being reinstated. Jones was suspended from the NFL for multiple brushes with the law.
While there is no guarantee that Jones will be reinstated, sources around Jones are hopeful. The Dallas Cowboys, the team who traded with the Tennessee Titans to acquire his rights, are also hopeful that Jones will be reinstated for the 2008 NFL season.
If Jones is reinstated, he could play multiple roles for the Cowboys in 2008. He’d primarily be a cornerback — and could possibly even start at the position. Additionally, Jones would also have duties in the kick return game. There is also talk that Jones could play some wide receiver.
If you are in a fantasy football league that uses defensive players, a reinstated Jones could be a nice sleeper pick. When he played for the Titans, Jones showed his immense talents. He is a big play cornerback who gambles a lot. He also can produce in the return game. He hasn’t been tested much as a wide receiver but he definitely has the speed to succeed at that position, as well.
Expect new reports in the next few days indicating whether or not Jones can resume his NFL career. Both Pacman Jones and the Cowboys will be waiting on pins and needs.
