The Fantasy Kickoff - Fantasy Football Tips

Kickers Fantasy Sleepers in 2008

by Kori Ellis on July 9th, 2008

Josh Scobee, Jacksonville Jaguars - Scobee battled injuries in 2007 but when he was healthy, he made more than 90% of his field goal attempts. In 2008, Scobee will be in a very good situation in Jacksonville’s offense. Look for him to be the surprise kicker in this upcoming fantasy football season.

Kris Brown, Houston Texans - The Texans showed signs of life last season offensively and that should carry over to 2008. Kris Brown usually isn’t considered a fantasy football sleeper candidate but he could surprise many fantasy owners in 2008 as long as the Texans’ offense cooperates.

Robbie Gould, Chicago Bears - With the Bears’ offense in shambles, they may have to settle for a lot of field goal attempts. That is bad news for Chicago but good news for Gould. He has proven himself over the last few years to be one of the best kickers in the game.

I am certain that I am not alone as a PSU fan who just has to marvel at the career that little Robbie Gould has created for himself - When he was kicking for the Lions, never once did I think “you know, one day that kid will be invited to the Playboy mansion…”
