Jerry Porter Hamstring Injury Info - Impact
Jerry Porter, a newly signed wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, underwent surgery on his hamstring and is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action. That means he’s likely out all of training camp and may not be 100% by opening week.
This is obviously bad news for Jerry Porter fantasy football owners. Hamstring injuries can be nagging injuries that last all year long. If you have Porter on your team, you also have the risk of him re-injuring his hamstring at any point. That said, Porter is talented enough that he’s worthy of a mid to late round pick — even with his injury woes.
The Jaguars will definitely miss Porter. Luckily for Jacksonville, they have plenty of players who can fill in while he’s gone. Troy Williamson was a free agent who was signed this summer who has looked good so far for the Jags in practice. Reggie Williams, Dennis Northcutt, John Broussard and Mike Walker are also on the roster. Williams has the highest upside out of those four. And don’t forget that technically Matt Jones is still on the Jaguars’ roster, even though he recently got arrested for an incident that involved cocaine.

When will Jerry Porter return for the Jaguars?
