Former Charger Terrence Kiel Dies
Terrence Kiel, a former safety for the San Diego Chargers, died late Friday night after being involved in a one car accident. Kiel played for the Chargers from 2003 to 2006 after being a second round choice out of Texas A&M.
The 5-foot-11 Kiel was born in Lufkin, Texas and had a reputation of being a hard hitting safety during his playing days. He finished his NFL career with 278 tackles, four interceptions and two sacks.
Reports indicate that Kiel was driving the wrong way on a one-way street after leaving a party in San Diego on Friday night. He was thrown from the car and later died at the hospital. Kiel was only 27 years old.
