Fantasy Football Week 16: Championship Heroes

by Kori Ellis on December 24th, 2007

QB Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals
If you were gutsy enough to call on Warner in your championship game, you are feeling pretty good right now. Warner was great against the weak secondary of the Atlanta Falcons. He was slinging the ball around all day and finished with 361 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

WR Anquan Boldin, Arizona Cardinals
Boldin was the person who Warner looked at the most. Boldin owners had to fight through a season where Boldin was injured numerous times. But if they made it to the championship, Boldin owners were rewarded in a big way. He finished with 162 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

RB Laurence Maroney and Brandon Jacobs
These two running backs could have been given up on at numerous times throughout the season. Maroney struggled with touches and injuries. Jacobs had a lot of struggles with injuries and goal line carries. However, both of these players came up big when it mattered most.

TE Dallas Clark and Tony Gonzalez
Clark continued his great season by going for two touchdowns in Week 16. Tony Gonzalez, the old wily veteran, finished without a touchdown but he had 137 receiving yards.
