Darren McFadden 40 Yard Dash - 2008 NFL Draft Buzz
At the NFL scouting combine, Darren McFadden didn’t disappoint. McFadden, who a lot of people view as the best player in the draft, had a 40-yard dash time of 4.33 seconds. To put that in perspective, that’s a faster time than Adrian Peterson posted last year in the scouting combine.
Now that McFadden has proven he has world class speed, his draft stock should remain high. While he’s somewhat of a long shot to be drafted with the first overall pick, he should definitely go in the top five.
In addition to his 40-yard dash time, McFadden measured out to be over 6-feet tall and weight 211 pounds. His arms and hands measured out to be very good size.
Speaking of fast 40-yard dash times, Chris Johnson of East Carolina blew away the field with a time of 4.24 seconds. That is the fastest time at the combine so far and it’s a time that could propel Johnson way up the draft board.
