Chad Johnson Returning - Ocho Cinco to Bengals
Despite previous talk about Chad Johnson being traded, Ocho Cinco has now come out to say that he’s planning on returning to the Cincinnati Bengals. Johnson had a great year in 2007 but was frustrated with the Bengals earlier in the offseason and reportedly demanded a trade.
All along, the Bengals said they weren’t going to trade Johnson. With Johnson’s options either retiring or returning to Cincinnati, it’s not too surprising that he has decided to come back. Johnson is a great wide receiver, however his loud mouth and outlandish antics sometimes take away from what he can do on a football field.
That said, Johnson says he is going to try to talk less in 2008. According to Ocho Cinco, he’s going to let his football play do the talking. That’s good news for the Bengals and fantasy owners as Johnson’s play seemed to suffer when he got too involved with the media.
Look for Johnson to have another big year in 2008. Carson Palmer is fully healthy and the Bengals should be passing early and often.
