Brett Favre Destinations - Possible Favre Teams

by Kori Ellis on July 4th, 2008

With Brett Favre considering a comeback to the NFL, it’s expected that if he does return it would be with the Green Bay Packers. However, what if the Packers want to move on without Favre? If Favre wants to come back and the Packers don’t want him, where could Favre end up? Here is our top five list:

1. Minnesota Vikings - Favre was seen at Vikings camp and he makes a lot of sense for Minnesota. They need a quarterback to help the team score. Their defense should be great.

2. Chicago Bears - Right now, the Bears are relying on Rex Grossman. If Favre replaces Grossman, that could be enough to make the Bears Super Bowl contenders. Favre should easily be an upgrade over Grossman.

3. Carolina Panthers - Jake Delhomme is a good quarterback but he’s attempting to come back from a major elbow injury. Favre could step in and quarterback this team and the Panthers wouldn’t have to worry about an elbow all season.

4. Baltimore Ravens - Kyle Boller is decent but Favre would be an upgrade. With that veteran defense on the other side of the field, the Ravens would have a chance to do great things in 2008.

5. Atlanta Falcons - Favre began his career with the Falcons. Perhaps he’d want to go back to where it all started. Matt Ryan is on board but he could use a year to learn on the sidelines.

Here’s a thought. Miami lost six games by three points or less. Several others were within 10 points. Strong defense, but no offense–or at least a quarterback they could count on. Adding Favre makes them a contender.
