2008 NFL Draft: Scouting Combine Preview
On Wednesday, the NFL’s scouting combine began for the 2008 NFL Draft. As a fantasy football owner, you should pay attention to what goes on during the combine. Not only will players shoot up and drop down on the draft charts, a few future stars will be born.
What happens at the combine? A lot of people think it’s just physical tests that occur during the combine, but it’s actually a lot more than that. Players undergo many other tests including the Wonderlic test, psychological tests and drug tests. Additionally, the players are measured and interviewed by coaches and the NFL.
If a player tests out well, that could make a lot of teams take notice. If a player tests out poorly, that could make a lot of teams look elsewhere. Basically, for aspiring NFL players, the NFL combine is arguably as important as their entire college career.
